Willliam Nowlin

William Thomas “Tom” Nowlin, 74 year old Vinita resident, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2022.  Tom was born in Ketchum, OK on December 15, 1947 to C. A. ”Cracker” Nowlin and Janana (Ward) Nowlin.  He proudly served in the Air Force.  After his military service he worked majority of his career with GRDA, retiring as a mechanic.  Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and having a best tomato contest with his brother, and claiming to be the best charcoal griller around.  In his younger years he loved building and racing hot rods with the Baker boys.  They were all very good at it.

Survivors include his sister Shirlye Skinner, brother Harold Nowlin and wife Dorthy, grandson Jacob Larson, and step children Andy Dick and Gina Miller.  He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Shannon Joy Larson, and brothers: Jim Nowlin and C. A. “Cat’ Nowlin.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel.  Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2022 at Ketchum Cemetery.
