Wanda Mae Herman, 92, of Vinita, passed away October 22, 2021, in Miami, Oklahoma. She was born June 8, 1929, in Freedom, Oklahoma, to Fred Olson and Lillie (Gibbons) Olson. Wanda graduated from Siloam Springs, Arkansas in 1947. She married Fred Herman on February 28, 1951, in Vinita, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Craig County Baptist Church. Wanda enjoyed reading, collecting books, and going to yard sales. She was a history buff and enjoyed going to museums. Wanda was a cat lover, but most of all she loved her family. She had a special place in her heart for her family. Her children and grandchildren brought joy to her life. Wanda will be missed all who knew her.
Preceding Wanda in death are her parents, Fred and Lillie Olson, husband, Fred Herman, and a brother, Dean Olson.
Survivors include her children, John Herman of Vinita, Howard Herman and wife Brenda of Vinita, Jim Herman of Vinita, Dale Herman of Vinita; grandchildren, Kristie Seaton and husband Shad, Emily Lee and husband Dustin, Clayton Herman; four great grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Sterner of Phoenix, Arizona; many other relatives and a host of friends.
A visitation for Wanda Herman will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Carselowey Cemetery in Vinita.
