Stephen Dewayne Campbell, 62-year-old Langley resident, passed away October 29, 2024. He was born on January 13, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Zane and Joan (Haggard) Campbell. He worked for the Cherokee Nation Housing Authority in Maintenance.
Stephen enjoyed fishing, and collecting can tabs. He was great with kids and had many “adopted” grandkids. Most people knew Stephen by his nickname, “Long Hair.” He was blessed with the gift of gab, never met a stranger, and would talk with anyone.
Stephen is survived by his “adopted family”: niece, Lela Roberts (Steven) of Langley; sister, Cindy Hammock of Langley; brother, Steven Roberts, Sr. (Jessica); great-nephews, Chase Roberts, Braxton Roberts, and Noah Roberts all of Langley; and friend and neighbor, Kenny Rosicka.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, grandson, and sister.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemoriesvinita.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of Luginbuel Funeral Home. “Family owned. Locally operated.”
