Sherry Preston

Sherry Miller-Preston, 66-year-old Bernice resident passed away at her home in Bernice, Oklahoma April 29, 2021. She was born April 26, 1955 in Vinita to Edward and Illa Mae (Lawson) Miller.  In 1996 Sherry married the love of her life, Bill Preston in Bernice, Oklahoma.  She had various jobs throughout her life, even owned her own house cleaning company. Most of all her favorite job was being a housewife and taking care of her family. She dedicated much of her life to caring for her loved ones. She was active in church and the choir. One of her passions was recording spiritual music with her husband at their home studio in Bernice. Sherry loved to perform her songs at churches and nursing homes. Sherry enjoyed any reason to have a family cookout and hang out by the pool. She also enjoyed making crafts, cooking, and of course shopping!!!! She could out shop anyone!

Preceding Mrs. Preston in death are her parents Edward & Illa Miller, her brother Eddie Gene Miller, her son Bobby Gene Shelby, and uncle and aunt Llyod & Christine Lawson.

Survivors include her husband Bill Preston and son Eric Preston of the home, daughter Stephanie Asher and husband Jeremiah Asher, daughter Amy Kovack, grandchildren Ashton Warner, Brennan Asher, Jace Asher, Madison Shelby, Sydney Shelby, Hunter Shelby, and Mikey Kovack and one great grandchild Ryder Shelby, nephew Ronnie Lawson, niece Amy Miller: many other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation for Sherry Preston will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Vinita Oklahoma.
