Ronald L. Morris

Ronald L. Morris passed away on September 20, 2023. He was born January 26, 1940, in Pryor, Oklahoma to Joel and Edna Morris. Ron graduated from Ketchum High School in 1957. For his first year out of high school, Ron worked for Rural Electric Cooperative in Vinita. He then went on to college and graduated in the spring of 1960. A job recruiter visited one of his accounting classes shortly before graduation and took applications from those who were interested. Ron applied, was hired, and went to work right out of college on July 3, 1960. He retired June 1, 1999, after a 39-year career. Along the way, he spent 8 years (active and reserve duty) in the USAF. Ron married the love of his life, Joanne Harrison on July 30, 1960, and they spent the rest of their lives together, 54 years of wonderful marriage. Ron had one sister, Phyllis Mcllravy, two sons, Jeff Morris and Doug Morris, several grandchildren, and a host of friends.
