Robert O’Neal Mabery passed from this life on June 25, 2022. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 14, 1942. Robert was raised most of his life in the Vinita – Big Cabin area as his parents pioneered the Carselowry Foursquare Church (now New Life) and where he was baptized. Working many years as an independent long-haul trucker he then decided not to mess with his own truck and went to work for “the man”. Robert drove truck until his retirement at age 78. He was a big NASCAR fan and his hobby was HO scale model trains. He will always be remembered for his great smile, storytelling, serving as head usher at the Tulsa First Foursquare Church and providing donuts for the senior Sunday School class!
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Mabery, his former wife, Rosemary Morrow, his parents, Rev. Howard & Catherine Mabery, his brother, Richard, and his son, Lonnie. He is survived by his son, Darren Mabery, his sister, Kathy Mabery Arthur (John) and nieces and nephew, Jessica Arthur Varela (Jason), Luke Arthur (Crystal), Catherine Arthur Davis (Mark) and Roxanne Mabery McManus and many first and second cousins who he loved dearly.
