Randall Scott Grubbs, 62, of Spavinaw, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on March 23, 2023. Randy was born June 14, 1960, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to John D. and Helen Eileen (Westscott) Grubbs. He was a member of the Spavinaw Hills House of Worship and loved studying the Bible. Randy loved Jesus and cared about his actions and was proud not to be a thief. He wrote every day in his journal his thoughts, actions, and even what he ate for the day. Living in Spavinaw it’s not surprising he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and outdoor activities. Randy had a big heart for everyone and if someone needed anything, whether a screwdriver, shower, or something to eat, he was there for them. He enjoyed playing drums and would make a drum out of anything. A table, chair, pan, and anything he could keep a beat on, made a perfect drum for him. He was proud of the fact he taught himself to speak the Cherokee language. He was a proud Cherokee citizen. Miller Hi Life was his favorite beverage and would start most days with one. Above all he loved his family. He held a special place in his heart for each and everyone in his family and always taught them to do right. He will be missed by all who know him.
Preceding Mr. Grubbs in death are his father, John D. Grubbs, and a sister, Shelly Grubbs. Survivors include his mother, Helen Grubbs; four children, Mikeal Grubbs, Krista Grubbs, Leon Gann, Jason Sitsler; his children’s mother, Kathy Blevins Grubbs; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a very good friend, Terry Whiteman; many other relatives and a host of friends.
