Norma Blount

Norma Lee Blount, 96, of Vinita, passed away at Heartsworth Senior Living Center in Vinita on August 5, 2021. She was born September 10, 1924, in Vinita, to O.L. Epperson and Ludie Nell (Ketchum) Epperson. Norma was a 1941 graduate of Big Cabin High School. Over the years Norma worked for Westinghouse, was a real estate agent, a legal secretary for many years, and was the bookkeeper for her son Dale’s business. Norma was a member of the Vinita Church of God and was active leading the church choir. She loved music and playing the Piano. Norma enjoyed taking trips with friends and going to Japan and Hawaii were a couple of her destinations. She loved ballroom dancing and was a member of the Solitaires, a single’s dance club in Tulsa. Norma was a very friendly person and loved spending time with her friends. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for each and everyone of them. Norma Blount will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding Norma Blount in death are her parents, O.L. and Ludie Epperson, two sons Barry Blount and Gregory Blount, and a sister Billie James.

Survivors include a son Dale Blount and wife Lavonne of Vinita; two brothers, James, and Robert Epperson; grandchildren, Pat Blount, Stephen Blount, Barry Blount, Julie Menanno, Sarah Jordan, Jim Blount, Christopher Blount, Adam Blount, Forrest Blount, Patricia Blount, Michele Jenkins, John Williams, James Williams; numerous great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation for Norma Blount will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 12 at the Luginbuel Chapel.  A celebration of life service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday August 13, 2021 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel.
