Maymie Dean Roberts-Cason

Maymie Dean Roberts Cason, 86, of Langley, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on June 7, 2024. She was born May 15, 1938, in Jay, Oklahoma, to Noah and Margaret (Atterberry) Roberts. Maymie enjoyed working puzzles with her friend Janie Russel, watching humming birds, playing games with children, talking, and teaching them. She looked forward to any family gatherings no matter how big or small. She would find a way to be there. She helped raise four granddaughters, Tina, Christy, Jami, and Samantha. Maymie would do anything for her family and friends. Maymie was a Cherokee woman proud of her heritage. Many people know of Maymie through her home business, Potters Day Care. She was known for the care and teaching of many children. Maymie had many careers before opening her day care that ranged from waiting tables to being a truck driver. Maymie had a special place in her heart for all her family and will be missed by all her friends and family.

Maymie Cason was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Margaret Roberts; husband, Leon Cason; a son Lawrence Herring; a daughter Annetta Potter; sisters, May Reed, Margie Welch, Linda Roberts; brothers, Billy Joe Roberts, Gary Roberts; granddaughters, Christy Roach, Jami; and a grandson Roger Herring.

Survivors include sons Billy Herring and wife Shelly, Emory Herring, Johnny Herring, Bobby Kons; grandchildren, Tina Harper and husband David, Jennifer Reed and husband Paul, Billy Joe Herring and wife Barbara, Noah Herring, Emory Herring Jr. and wife Misti, Cassie Shearer, Nicholas Wise, Eric Lernertz, Samantha Murphy and husband Shane, Sierra, Savana, Calvin, Joe Kons; great grandchildren, Gerald Harper, Chrislyn and husband Victor Strena, James Harper, Dakota Potter, Dillion Knight, Donald Knight, Kaden, Zoie, Tyler, Skyler, Madison, Emery, Keegan, Kenna, Kember, Keeley, Kelsey, Payten, Lakyn and Camden; great-great grandchildren, Andi Marie, Ezriah, Everleigh, Rusch, Sofia; many other relatives and a host of friends.
