Linda Susanne Gardner, 64, of Florida, passed away on Feb. 5, 2025. Born on March 26, 1960, she was the daughter of Beulah Mae Hornback and the late Clifford Eugene Hornback.
Linda is survived by her mother, Beulah Mae Hornback; her sister, Rebecca (Becky) Ann Turnbough; her daughter, Christie Dawn Larson (Wagnon); her granddaughter, Samantha Jay Schwanz (Larson); and her grandson, Joshua Benjamin Larson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Gardner. After becoming an ordained minister in 2003, Linda and Jim became missionaries, traveling the world to spread the word of God. Countries Linda ministered in include Belize, India, the Philippines, Kenya, the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, and Peru. She was especially fond of India, where she and Jim started a college for Christian studies. Linda finished her missionary career in the Philippines, teaching young adults about the Bible and Jesus Christ.
Linda’s Life Celebration will be held at Emmanuel Church, 437551 US-60, Vinita, Oklahoma, on March 7 at 3 p.m. Graveside interment at Fairview Cemetery will follow the service. Dinner will be at the Vinita Seventh-day Adventist Church, 536 North Scraper Street. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to World Outreach (www.worldoutreach.org/935) in Linda's memory, as we are sponsoring a young theology major seeking her Ph.D.
