Larry Leroy Chrisco, 78-year-old Fairland resident, passed away at home November 19, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born September 6, 1946, in Vinita to Howard and Juanita (Corbett) Chrisco. Larry graduated from Vinita High School and Northeastern A & M in Tahlequah. Larry served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972. While in the Army, he served as a Field Artillery Unit Commander. He married the love of his life, Linda Linn on December 26, 1970, in Afton.
After his tour of duty with the Army, Larry worked for Blitz Plastics in Miami from July 1, 1973, to September 1, 2017. At the time of his retirement, Larry was serving as the company’s Vice President. A smart man, Larry was a natural inventor and holds many patents. In his spare time, Larry and Linda ran a cow/calf operation on their ranch in Fairland. They ran both Brangus and Beefmaster cattle. Larry was a huge Oklahoma Sooners football fan and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to the horse races in Hot Springs. He always enjoyed fishing trips to Roaring River and pheasant hunting trips with his brothers.
Larry is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Linda, of the home; daughter, Lisa Chrisco of Moore; son, Chris Chrisco of Fairland; sister, Sharon Chrisco of Arlington, Texas; and brothers, Roger Chrisco (Linda) of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Randy Chrisco (Nancy) of Bartlesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Chrisco Home in Fairland, Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 PM.
