Kay Ann Cope of Afton, Oklahoma was born November 14, 1940 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Harold and Evelyn (McLaren) Harman. Kay passed from this life into the arms of her Eternal Heavenly Father on March 12, 2025. Kay married the love of her life, Barry, on July 31, 1961 in Wichita, Kansas. To this union they were blessed with three boys. Kay often stated that one of her life’s greatest joys was to hear the sound of her boys’ dirt bikes racing through the oak trees across the street from their home on Keystone Lake. Kay earned her Bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate from Oklahoma State University, and subsequently taught special needs children until her retirement. Kay will be missed by her loved ones and friends. 

Kay is preceded in death by her Parents, sister Patricia, nephews Mark and Bryce, grandsons Bryan and Nolan, husband Barry, and youngest son Derek. Kay is survived by her son Cary and wife Pamela of Afton, son Richy and wife Kimberly of Afton, Daughter-in-Law Angela of Sand Springs, grandchildren Tyler, NataLee, Kara, Richie, Anthony, Nathan, Kristin, and Kristin, great-grandchildren Riley, Brynn, Cooper, Wesley, Casey, Braden, and Dillan Mae, sister Beverly and husband Paul, sister-in-Law Jola, nephew Lane, nieces Paula, Brooke, Ashley, Colby, and Morgen, and many other relatives and friends.
