Judy Kathryn Kanmore

On July 24, 2023, Judy Kathryn Kanmore, 75, of Big Cabin, OK, went to be with her Lord and Savior.  Judy was born on November 28, 1947 in Vinita, OK, to W.W. (Doc) and Mary (McKinniss) Kuehne.  After graduating from Big Cabin High School, she wed Wayne Kanmore of Vinita, OK.  They started their family together in Claremore, OK and settled in Owasso, OK with their two children.  After Judy and Wayne divorced, Judy and her children returned to Big Cabin where she built a new home in 1979 and remained for many years until health issues necessitated moving into nursing care. 

In her youth, Judy excelled at sports and was well known for her skill on the basketball court.  She also really enjoyed water-skiing and horseback riding with friends.  As a result of a tragic car accident during her teens, Judy sustained serious injuries that challenged her throughout her life.  Judy was a fighter and with the help of friends and family, was able to persevere and live a full and happy life.  Judy was a devout Christian and a member of the Big Cabin Baptist Church for many years.  She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community. 

She is survived by her son, Rob Kanmore and wife, Jodie and daughter, Tisha Morgan and husband, Rick, and three grandchildren, Josie Kanmore, Toni Dawn Morgan and Samantha Morgan as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Mary Kuehne, sister, Karen Springer, and brothers, Dick and Charlie Kuehne as well as Rob and Tisha’s father, Wayne Kanmore.
