Jane Ann Lundy-Matlock

Jane Ann Lundy-Matlock, 68, of Vinita, Oklahoma, passed away on July 17, 2023. She was born on October 6, 1954, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Lloyd Lundy and Ida (Simms) Lundy. Jane attended high school in Hays, Kansas, graduating in 1972. She then attended Colby Community College, graduating with an Associate of Applied Science in Animal Technology.

Throughout Jane’s younger years, she helped her parents in the hospitality business. Jane worked as a Registered Nurse at the Hays Medical Center for more than 20 years, before retiring. She had many interests such as traveling and visiting many interesting countries around the world. She enjoyed reading and Jane always loved horses, beginning with her first pony, KoKo. She enjoyed rescuing neglected animals as well as working with her own horses. Her special interest was the American Curly Horse.

Jane is preceded in death by her sister: Connie Baldwin.

Those left to cherish Jane’s memory include her mother: Ida (Simms) Lundy, her niece: Jenny Norris Burch and husband, Allen, her nephew: Christopher Norris and wife, Megan, her business partner and good friend: Sabrina Symns, very special longtime nursing friends: Helen and Theresa, lifetime “bonus sister”, Meg, along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday July 24, 2023, at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Colin Kirk officiating. The family of Jane has entrusted her love and care to the staff of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, Oklahoma.
