Helen Marie Roberts Page, 66 year old Spavinaw resident, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 in Tulsa, OK. She was born August 15, 1957 to Preston Lynn Roberts and Kathleen Goins Roberts in Pryor, OK. Helen attended her first eight years of primary school at Strang Public School. She then transferred to Ketchum High School for her remaining secondary years of school, graduating in 1975. She met the one and only true love of her life, Bruce Alan Page, when she was just 14 years old and married him on February 16, 1974. Helen spent the next 15 years being the best wife and mother she knew how to be to her three children, Kimberla, Kayde, and Chance. She had the opportunity to work for Rusty Fleming at the Grand River Chronicle in a job she excelled at and dearly loved. One of Helen’s lifelong dreams was to become an early childhood teacher. She accomplished this dream through completing her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Early Childhood Education from Northeastern State University in 1991. She continued her education, receiving her Master’s Degree in Education in 1995.
Helen was a proud teacher at Spavinaw Public School, Ketchum Public Schools, Salina Public Schools, and CAP in Tulsa for 25+ years. She was also an adjunct professor at Grove NEO campus and an extension educator for Delaware County OSU. In 2014, Helen retired to spend her remaining years enjoying her grandparents’ land on Spavinaw Creek with her Honey-Bunches, kids, grandkids, and great grandbaby. Helen’s favorite pastime was rooting for the OU Sooners. She watched or listened to every game without fail. She loved celebrating holidays with family and watching beautiful sunsets.
Helen is survived by her daughters Kimberla Kay Page of Spavinaw, Kayde Marie Page-McLemore of Langley, and son Chance Preston Page of Norman; grandchildren Kane Mikiah Kirby and wife Lacy Kirby of Ocheleta, Zayden Gage Kirby of Spavinaw, Daelynn Marie Lemons of Pryor, Steven “Rayder” McLemore of Langley, Jase James Williams and Chevelle Roxi Page of Ketchum; and great grandchildren Noah Gawain Upton, Madilyn Nicole Guinevere Upton, Indiana Lee Kirby, and soon to arrive Finley Kade Kirby of Ocheleta; and numerous nephews and nieces, whom she loved like her own children, a multitude of friends, and her lifelong best friend of 60+ years Vicky Jo Marang. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband Bruce, her mother and father, her sister Kay Ann, and her brother Preston Lynn.
