Glenna June Herman, 83, of Vinita, passed away in Vinita at the Heartsworth Senior Living Center on May 29, 2021. She was born July 3, 1937, in Vinita to Fred and Selastine (Tippett) Walker. June was a graduate of Big Cabin High School and on December 24, 1955, she married the love of her life, Kelly Leon Herman and they have been together for over 65 years.
June worked for a time at Craig General Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide. She was a longtime member of the Craig County Baptist Church and served along with Kelly in many capacities in the Church. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, knitting, and making many ceramic things. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She cared for people and enjoyed spending time talking and making other people’s lives better. June was a true Christian woman that held a special place in her heart for each and every one of her family members. June will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding June in death are her parents Fred and Selastine Walker, and a daughter in law Judy Herman.
Survivors include her loving husband, Kelly; children, Debbie Dyke, of Tulsa, Doug Herman and wife Rosemary of Grove, Oklahoma, Mitch Herman of Vinita, Stacy Herman and wife Sara of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Wanda Herman; a very special friend that has spent countless hours at her side over the years, Babe Skinner; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial services for June Herman will be at the Craig County Baptist Church in Vinita 2:00 p.m., Saturday June 12, 2021. Services are entrusted to Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com
