Sadly, Farol Joe Cochrane, of Vinita, has passed away after a long and valiant struggle due to complications from COVID-19. Joe was a gentle giant with a big booming voice and a ready smile and laugh. He had a generous spirit and loved to give hugs and backrubs to friends and family. Joe was an avid reader with an incredible memory and vast knowledge of many topics, especially aircraft, engines, and history. He treasured trips to the Vinita library and never left the premises without a few magazines or books under his arm. He loved attending the community luncheon in Big Cabin and enjoyed the fellowship, camaraderie, and generosity of friends and acquaintances there. Joe was preceded by his beloved parents, Reuel and Ezell, as well as brothers, Reuel II and Errol. Mourning his loss are his ‘favorite Canadians’ -niece, Caitie, and sister-in-law, Sheila, - as well as cousins Marty and Kelly Kilpatrick of Big Cabin. Marty and Kelly’s help over the past few years has been a godsend – ‘truly truly’, as Joe would say– and we are grateful beyond measure. Joe’s family sincerely appreciates the compassionate care given to him by all the healthcare practitioners who cared for him with such kindness and compassion. Joe signed off every phone call with the farewell, ‘Ciao-y Wow-y’ and so we bid our beloved Joe adieu the same way … Ciao-y Wow-y JoeJoe. We love you.
Arrangements are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
