David Ownbey

David Leon Ownbey was called to be with the Lord on September 4th, 2021. He was born in Riverside, California on Feb 21, 1960. He worked as a heavy equipment operator on a variety of major projects including the Alaska oil pipeline and the recovery efforts in New York City after the Sept. 11th attacks. David enjoyed baking, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard Ownbey, son, Justin Ownbey, and a sister, Jenny.

David is survived by his mother, Charlene Ownbey of Vinita, OK; son, David Ownbey of Oregon; daughter, Jazmyne Sanchez of Colorado; brother, Richard Ownbey of Kansas; sisters, Audrey England of Vinita, Elizabeth Kiker of Laughlin Nevada, Nancy Keenan of Skiatook OK, Rebecca Bailey of Oregon, Cleta Ownbey of Vinita, and Jewel Ownbey of Yucaipa California.

Graveside services celebrating David’s life will be held at 3 PM October 15TH, 2021, at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, Oklahoma. All family and friends are most welcome to attend.
