David Wesley Lebow

David Wesley Lebow, 74, of Spavinaw, Oklahoma, passed away at his home in Spavinaw. He was born July 30,1950, in Enid, Oklahoma to Davis William Lebow and Mary Maxine (Burkes) Lebow. David graduated from the Oklahoma City Schools and continued his education at Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a degree in Journalism. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and was an aircraft maintenance technician. David served in Southeast Asia and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was a member of the Salina American Legion. He used his journalism degree and owned several different newspapers. As well as owner he was the editor. David married Cynthia (Kitty) Barnett on November 23, 2002. They have been living in the Spavinaw area for the past 10 years. David was a Ham Radio Operator and enjoyed doing Civil War Enactments. He even started a group from Yale Oklahoma and was very active in several enactments around the Oklahoma area. David also enjoyed traveling and reading. His two dachshunds Max and Winston made for a great home life. Above all he loved his family. David will be missed by all who know him.

Preceding David in death are his parents, Davis and Mary Lebow, and two siblings, Pam Reagan and Mike Lebow. Survivors include his wife Kitty; children from his first marriage, Shawn Lebow, Michelle Lebow; his second marriage Nathan Howard, Jessica Mack, Briona Blackfox; grandchildren, Liam Howard, Karstan Packard; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home, Langley, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home.
