Danny Mcdougal

Lifelong Vinita resident Danny Lee McDougal, 75, passed away in Vinita on February 10, 2022. He was born October 3, 1946, in Vinita, to Thomas A. McDougal, and Buena Mae (Cariker) McDougal. Danny was a 1965 graduate of Vinita High School. He was a truck driver for most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith. Danny enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, and camping were his favorite outdoor activities. He especially enjoyed the hunting trips to Colorado with his friends. Danny was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners. He was quite a storyteller and the family enjoyed listening to him tell stories. Danny loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding Danny McDougal in death are his parents Thomas and Buena Mae McDougal; two sisters, Patty James, and Ann Garrett; a brother, Tommy Dale McDougal; and a nephew, Rick Garrett. Survivors include his children, Ronnie Lee McDougal, and Renee Lawson; grandchildren, Rachel Sessom and husband Ryan, Riley Lawson, Khristopher Cody; two great granddaughters, Judy Sessom, and Barbara Sessom; a brother, James Sam McDougal; nieces, Lynn Patton, Debbie Crabaugh, Diane Williams, Jeannie McDougal, and Janet McDougal; nephews, Larry Bill Wildermuth, Michael McDougal, and James McDougal; many other relatives and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held for Danny from 6:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022, at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 15,2022, at Luginbuel Chapel. Burial will follow at Carselowey Cemetery.
