Dale Anthony Blount, 74, of Vinita, passed away in Pryor, Oklahoma, on February 10, 2022. He was born November 19, 1947, in Vinita Oklahoma to Julian W. Blount and Norma Lee (Epperson) Blount. Dale was a graduate of Vinita High School and continued his education at NEO in Miami, and Oklahoma State University. Dale owned his own printing company and was a member of the Disney Assembly of God Church, in Disney, Oklahoma, and he was an ordained minister. On July 22, 2013, he married Lavonne Preston in Oswego, Kansas. Dale enjoyed music and had a large record collection of good old Rock and Roll. He enjoyed playing the drums and music was very important to him. Dale enjoyed traveling and talked many times about the Cruise he and Lavonne went on, as well as a New Your City trip they took. He enjoyed gardening and watching sports, especially the Oklahoma Sooners. Above all he loved his family. His wife, children, and grandchildren, all had a special place in his heart. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceding Dale Blount in death are his parents, Julian, and Norma Lee Blount; and two brothers, Barry Blount, and Greg Blount. Survivors include his wife Lavonne, of the home; children Julie Menanno and husband Mario, of Bozeman, Montana, Sarah Jordan and husband Seth, of Corvallis, Oregon, Jim Blount and wife Rheannon of Corvallis, Oregon, Michele Jenkins and husband Jim, of Oswego, Kansas, John Williams and wife Mandy, of Chetopa, Kansas, James Williams of Oswego, Kansas; grandchildren, John Menanno, Clare Menanno, Katherine Menanno, Sophie Menanno, Margaret Menanno, Elizabeth Menanno, Will Jordan, Bailie Templeton, Brooke Templeton, Alexandrea Jenkins, Kaitlyn Williams, Kayleigh Williams, Madison Williams; and a great grandson, Mason Templeton; many other relatives and a host of friends.
A visitation for Dale Blount will be held 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Luginbuel Funeral Chapel.
