Constance Louise Walker

Connie Walker, 86, formerly of Nowata, Oklahoma passed peacefully on Christmas Eve. She was born July 24, 1938, to Russell and Helen Hicks. She graduated from Delaware High School and went to work for Phillips in Bartlesville. After Phillips, Connie decided to follow her passion, food and cooking for others. To that end she became a dietician and cooked for patients and staff at Nowata General Hospital for many years. In 2005 she moved to Oklahoma City to live near her family where she continued to cook, bake, can, and teach her family her culinary ways. Her hot rolls are famous to all who were blessed to have them. 

She is survived by her son, James, his wife, Tami and grandchildren Emily Fries and Lucas Weathers along with other nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charlie Hicks and her grandson Dillon James Weathers.
