Cauy Alan Brewer, a 24-year-old former Ketchum resident, passed away November 10, 2024, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Claremore. He was born January 14, 2000, in Claremore to Chad and Shannon (Nicol) Brewer. He attended Ketchum public schools and graduated with the class of 2018.
Cauy was crazy about playing football. He loved every aspect of the sport, and it was what he looked forward to. In fact, it was what kept him in school. With his outgoing personality, he was known as the life of the party. A natural jokester at heart, he was often referred to as the class clown.
Cauy met Sandra Perez, a foreign exchange student attending Ketchum High School. Cauy played football and Sandra was a cheerleader. Cauy was smitten and the two fell in love. Cauy followed Sandra back to Spain for a while and even played football there. In September 2019, the two were married in Miami, Oklahoma.
Cauy had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. His and Sandra’s favorite place to visit was Hawaii. After high school, Cauy worked as an automobile salesman for various dealerships. He had a natural knack for selling which can be attributed to his extroverted personality.
Cauy is survived by his wife, Sandra, of the home; mother, Shannon Brewer of Disney, Oklahoma; father, Chad Brewer of Poteau, Oklahoma; brother, Matthew Seivert of Pheonix, Arizona; sisters, Krysten Weaver of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Lily Bogle of Ketchum, Oklahoma; grandparents, Wesley and Dianna Cochran of Ketchum, Oklahoma and Shirley Brewer of Poteau, Oklahoma; aunt and uncle, Bethany and David Harding of Langley, Oklahoma; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Langley, Oklahoma with Pastor Davies Vanpool officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Cauy’s honor to the Cauy Brewer Memorial Scholarship Fund at BancFirst in Ketchum.
