Carmen Brown was born in Munday, Texas on August 9, 1949, to Maria and John Enriquez. Carmen was one of six children.
Carmen resided in Vinita, OK with her husband, Cornell Brown of 43 years. She was a nutritionist for many years before retiring to a housewife. Carmen held many titles, Wife, Mother, Nanny, Sister Carmen to name a few. She taught Sunday School, Rainbows and worked with children for 20 plus years. She loved praise and worship and dancing (especially with flags).
Carmen passed away Tuesday morning at 8:30 am with family by her side. She survived kidney failure; on dialysis (lifealysis) for 26 years. She was a STRONG woman of God, prayer warrior, full of wisdom and knowledge.
Carmen was preceded in death by; her parents, Maria & John Enriquez her son, Martel Luper Jr. her Siblings, John Enriquez, Aurora Alcala and Mary Hurley Carmen is survived by; husband -Cornell; daughters - Shannon & Crystal; son- Corey; sisters - Chila & Ruth; grandchildren - Mike, BJ (Tiffany), Jolaunda, Christina (Jay), Jemil, Cori, Tiara, Codell, Chrishaun (Daisy), Chabryan, Careesha, Caderian; great-grandchildren - Maria, Levi, Sekani, Zipporah, Ezara, Aaron, Jackson, Jemil Jr, Noah, and Natalie, a HOST of adopted grandchildren, many RAINBOW students and her church family, Isaiah 58 ALL of whom she LOVED dearly.
